When was the last time you got out of breath doing any exercise Remember, start where you are. So if you haven’t walked round where you live for a while, make that the goal. If you have to climb stairs to get about where you live or work, use them. Be realistic. If you work on the top floor of a 10 story building, get out of the lift 3 floors before and walk up, where possible walk down all the steps. Consistency is also the key. Making changes and keep going. If you feel walking up 3 flights of steps is difficult, start at 2 flights. Remember, you need to stretch yourself, however, be realistic. Big changes start with small steps. If you have a lot of weight to lose, that’s okay. It took a long time to put the weight on, so it may take some time to lose it. When you make any changes in your life, celebrate those. You made a positive change and that will keep you motivated.
